Ms. Kloze joined EverGreene in 2013 after eighteen years’ experience in preservation and construction. Directly before EverGreene, Sarah spent the last eleven years at Columbia University Facilities. As the Director of Exteriors and Historic Preservation, she led the design and execution of restoration projects for the university’s 250 buildings. Improving the sense of place of the historic campus and surrounding neighborhood required great attention to detail. The challenge of managing approximately 100 projects per year allowed her to develop strong organization, communication, and management skills. Prior to Columbia, Ms. Kloze worked as an architectural conservator and a decorative painter. Between the two she gained experience investigating and replicating historic finishes, as well as completing interior and exterior condition assessments, testing, and creating mockups for various types of masonry restoration work.
