EverGreene restored this lavish Cass Gilbert interior (also known as the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian, located in Bowling Green, NYC), including the Collectors’ Suite, Lobby, and Rotunda. Work included: decorative painting, gilding, and glazing; conservation of murals painted by Reginald Marsh and Elmer Garnsey, with pastiglia ornament enrichments; metal refinishing of torchieres, sconces, and chandeliers; conservation of original oak staining on end-grained floor; conservation and reinstatement of finish on a Tiffany carved and gilded wood screen; refinishing of architectural wood paneling; and cleaning of the marble wainscoting and trim.
