Laser Cleaning Tech Talk with AIA Brooklyn

EverGreene embraces the use of new technologies to utilize at varied project sites. Laser cleaning is a tool we use frequently to conserve significant architectural sites and objects, including the U.S. Capitol.

On October 1, 2020 at 12:00 p.m., our Director of Conservation Kelly Caldwell will lead a FREE virtual presentation on laser cleaning for the Brooklyn Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) for their lunch and learn “On the Menu” series.

Attending participants will learn about the following objectives:

  • The use of the latest laser ablation equipment and its advantages for cleaning where applicable
  • The history and typical applications of laser for architectural surfaces and objects
  • The need for thorough research and testing prior to implementing cleaning
  • The general safety requirements for use of lasers within preservation

Please join EverGreene and AIA Brooklyn as she shares her knowledge of innovative conservation technologies.
