The Old Post Office Pavilion

Washington, DC

The Old Post Office Pavilion, functioning as an office building for much of the 20th century, is now the 263-key Trump International Hotel. The property is owned by the United States General Services Administration.

Using Italian composition gold leaf, EverGreene artisans and craftsmen gilded the ornamental plaster columns, pilaster, panels and archways, in the Presidential Ballroom and more than 1,400 rosettes that decorate the elevators. By mobilizing a large crew, EverGreene was able to complete the project in less than five weeks.
