Art Handling & Salvage

Ensuring maximum protection during removal, transport, and storage, designing appropriate mounting and exhibition solution, and applying conservation treatments prior to display at a new site requires a specialist. When a piece of art or large artifact is no longer in the right place, our conservators and engineers provide expert advice and quality control, guiding the most complex and challenging art recovery, handling, and rigging projects.

EverGreene has been involved in the salvage of WPA art, the relocation of public art in cities and on higher eduction campuses, and in some of largest and most complex salvage and art handling projects, including the recovery of the Titanic’s “Big Piece” and the conservation and exhibit design of two Saturn V rockets and the Atlantis space shuttle.
