It’s summer, finally! And this means time to get ourselves outdoors to explore and discover. Reacquaint yourself with your city or explore a new one and revive your senses with outdoor art. The newest addition to NYC’s outdoor art lineup is Big Bling by Martin Puryear, in collaboration with Digital Atelier. Located on the main lawn of Madison Square Park, Big Bling stands forty feet tall and is topped off by a shining gold-leaf shackle, gilded by EverGreene. What Big Bling actually represents is up to the viewer, so have some fun and let your imagination run wild. It’s graceful shape and masterful construction juxtaposed with the seemingly weighty brilliant gold-leaf shackle is really something to behold.
