On Saturday, December 14th from 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA) is offering the course “The Intersection of Art & Architecture: Historical & Practical Lessons in Mural Painting.” EverGreene’s own painting experts Zinni Veshi, artist and Kevin Enright, designer will be instructing the course. There are no prerequisites, as the course is designed for students with limited exposure to mural painting and classical design.
Attendees will explore the ways in which artwork and architectural design influence one another, practical aspects of how to create monumental artworks, and a site-visit of mural work done by Zinni and Kevin. Research methods, color analysis techniques, metrology, methods of working with architects and clients, preliminary design maquettes, renderings, enlarging maquettes to monumental scale, stencil cutting, large format printing, and decorative finishes will be discussed.
