In November, the 2022 class of APT Recognized Professionals was announced and celebrated during the Association of Preservation Technology International Annual Conference in Detroit. We are delighted to share that our Director of Conservation, Kelly Caldwell, and Director of Project Management, Sarah Kloze, have been accepted into this prestigious group.
In 2018, APT and the APT College of Fellows instituted a program to recognize the expert skill level of individuals in the various fields of preservation technology with a formal recognition of achievement. An APT Recognized Professional is a person who has specialized knowledge, supported by a combination of formal training and/or work experience, in the use of preservation technology in conservation and stewardship of cultural heritage. An APT Recognized Professional conforms to accepted international technical and APT ethical standards and works in accordance with the regulations and guidelines of the person’s specialty preservation field and the appropriate jurisdiction of their practice.

MEET KELLY
Kelly is the Director of Conservation and a Senior Conservator, based out of our Brooklyn conservation studio. She brings over fifteen years of experience in the fields of archaeology and conservation to EverGreene’s clients.
She oversees and manages the conservation aspects of EverGreene projects involving architectural elements, masonry, public art, monuments, and artifacts – often working collaboratively with architects, engineers, construction managers and fellow conservation professionals. Besides her skills in research, assessment, surveying, scope definition, project management and consulting, she has significant hands-on experience with an extremely wide variety of conservation processes and treatments.

MEET SARAH
As Director of Project Management, Sarah Kloze is instrumental in leading EverGreene’s Project Management team who are responsible for the execution of some of the most prestigious restoration and conservation projects in the country, along with leading field employees – comprised of 100+ Union and Non-Union skilled craftspeople.
Sarah joined EverGreene as a Project Manager in 2013 and was promoted to Senior Project Manager in 2018. She brings 25+ years of experience in preservation and construction to our team. Prior to EverGreene, Sarah spent eleven years at Columbia University Facilities as the Director of Exteriors and Historic Preservation, leading the design and execution of restoration projects for the University’s 250 buildings. The challenge of managing 100+ projects per year allowed her to develop strong organization, communication, and management skills, making her an invaluable asset to our Project Management Team.
