St. Clare of Assisi in Daniel Island, SC is an impressive new church built for the growing Catholic community in the area. Designed by Franck & Lohsen Architects in the Neo-Gothic style, the church features distinct allusions to the Basilica of Santa Chiara in Assisi, Italy.
EverGreene was engaged to design custom diaper patterned wall covering for the sanctuary and side niches within the church. Our goal was to create a pattern that would harmonize with the Venetian plaster and gilded finishes, while incorporating symbols representing St. Joseph, St. Mary, and St. Clare of Assisi. We worked in close collaboration with the church to ensure the patterns complemented the architecture and conveyed these meaningful motifs.
