Pérez Art Museum Maintenance

Miami, FL

EverGreene Architectural Arts has supported the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) outdoor sculpture collection through recurring conservation and maintenance campaigns. In 2025, EverGreene returned to the Mary M. and Sash A. Spencer Sculpture Garden to perform remedial and preventive conservation treatments on five outdoor sculptures. The work was completed onsite from February 3- 14, 2025.

The 2025 campaign focused on maintaining the collection in good condition while addressing deterioration associated with Miami’s demanding marine environment. Treatments included aqueous cleaning, removal and neutralization of corrosion, localized in- painting, stone crack and loss repairs, and renewal or application of protective coatings appropriate to the individual artwork and substrate.

All five sculptures included in the 2025 maintenance cycle were assessed as being in good overall condition. EverGreene recommended continued annual inspections and maintenance, regular vegetation management, monitoring after major weather events, and treatment by qualified conservators as conditions warrant. 2025 maintenance treatments were carried out on:

  • Chaos SAS by Jedd Novatt (2012, stainless steel)
  • La Plume de Pierrot by Mark di Suvero (1974, painted steel)
  • Land of Milk and Honey by Anthony Caro (2006, bronze)
  • Chaos Bizkaia by Jedd Novatt (2012, bronze)
  • Endless Evolution by Pablo Atchugarry (2015, stainless steel)
