Hudson Theatre
New York, NY
Since its opening in 1903, the Hudson Theatre has lived many lives and is one of the few theaters with elements of its original Tiffany interior elements. In 1987, the Hudson Theatre received landmark status from the City of New York for its unusually large lobby and triple-domed ceiling. The theater reopened and returned to its Broadway roots in 2017.
EverGreene participated in the restoration of the Hudson Theatre. EverGreene’s work consisted of:
- Replacement of a section of missing Tiffany glass mosaic on the second floor balcony and EverGreene came up with an innovative solution to replace the glass mosaic
- Selective ornamental plaster repairs throughout
- Paint analysis of the lobbies
- Full decorative restoration of the lobbies and concession area
