Memorial Belltower Tablet

The North Carolina State University Memorial Belltower sits at the entrance of the school’s campus. This 115-foot granite monument honors the university’s alumni who were killed in World War 1, featuring a memorial tablet listing their names. EverGreene was engaged to conserve this tablet, executing cleaning, consolidation, and loss repair. We then recarved and regilded the letters. Our conservators practiced on sample blocks in the studio to ensure accuracy and precision.
