Washington, DC

Smithsonian Institution Building (The Castle) was built in 1849 and designed by James Renwick Jr. It is located off of the National Mall in Washington, DC.

EverGreene installed 3/8” ss anchors in Hilti HY-270 with screen tube at approximately 190 locations after removing plaster where needed only for testing. Testing was performed by a masonry subcontractor and EverGreene worked with an engineer during the assessment. After the testing was complete, EverGreene repaired the damages to the brick masonry following the approved work plan, cleaned the site, and removed the protection.
