St. Andrew's Catholic Church

The beautiful St. Andrew’s Catholic Church was originally opened in 1902 for a growing congregation in Roanoke, Virginia. EverGreene was contracted by the church in 2019 to complete the interior restoration which included thorough cleaning, plaster repairs, a cursory historic paint study, re-painting of ceilings and walls, repair of gold and metallic leaf, and in-painting of original murals.

Our craftspeople and artists were determined to maintain the historic quality of the church by performing a paint investigation and mural assessments. The murals were meticulously cleaned, consolidated, and reattached where delamination had occurred.

We are proud that the collaboration resulted in St. Andrews Catholic Church recognition as a recipient of the 2022 Gabriella Page Preservation Award for Outstanding Preservation Project.
