EverGreene conserved and replicated the trompe l’oeil decoration of Room S324—the Senate Majority Leader’s Office—in the U.S. Capitol Building. EverGreene was initially asked to perform a historic finishes investigation of the severely damaged ceiling mural.
Our team then performed plaster consolidation and restoration, conserved aspects of the ceiling wherever possible, and recreated and painted the mural design based on our finishes investigation findings and archival photography.
