St. Patrick Parish
St. Patrick Parish in Grass Valley serves a parish that has been active since 1855, when the town’s first miners moved to the region. The current church was built in the 1950s and continues to act as a pillar of the community.
EverGreene was invited to design the new liturgical artistry program at St. Patrick in 2019. We were delighted to collaborate with BCM Construction and Perkins, Williams & Cotterill Architects again after completing a sacred space project within the Sacramento Diocese.
In collaboration with Fr. Estrella, we developed a new program which includes the design of borders, wall patterns, and medallions with symbols unique to the church. The tabernacle surround also received EverGreene’s decoration with brilliant golden rays falling from the Dove of the Holy Spirit onto adoring angels. Elements of plaster and those painted on canvas were produced in our Brooklyn mural and plaster studios and installed in the church by skilled craftspeople. Decorative finishes were also applied by hand onsite.
It was an honor to help this historic parish delve deeper into their faith and experience the beauty of a harmonious liturgical artistry program.
