The former Michigan Central Station is symbolic of both the decline and resurgence of Detroit. Acquired by Ford Motor Company in 2018, the station has been reimagined and undergone a comprehensive, multi-year rehabilitation. With the station project nearing completion, this presentation provides an update on the transformation that has occurred. EverGreene has collaborated with Christman|Brinker Corktown on this monumental effort for the last five years. The project included the replication and restoration of approximately 56,000 sft of decorative Beaux-Art plasterwork in the main waiting area, arcade, ticket lobby, and restaurant.
