2021 Women In Construction

Each year, the month of March celebrates Women’s History Month.  For seven days, the AEC industry unites in celebration of  Women in Construction (WIC) Week to raise awareness of the growing impact women have on the industry, as well as the myriad of opportunities available to them, in either out in the field or in the office. WIC Week also coincides with International Women’s Day (IWD) which occurs annually on March 8th. The theme of this year’s campaign is #ChoosetoChallenge. We can all choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality. We can all choose to seek out and celebrate women’s achievements. Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world.

Did you know women make up about 9% of the construction industry’s workforce, compared to 75% of the education and health services industry? Join us for WIC Week March 7 -13, 2021 as we highlight EverGreene’s female colleagues to emphasize the growing role of women in the industry. They’ll share their experiences and perspectives about working in construction. This year’s theme is “Connect, Collaborate, Construct.” During this week on our social feeds, we’ll recognize the contributions of these women to in their roles at EverGreene and to advancing our industry. Click below to follow along as we share advice, inspiration, and support for the hard work and accomplishments our team has made. Their work assists in opening doors for future generations of women preparing for a career in our industry. Every day, we progress towards a more diverse and inclusive workforce.
