Stenciling is a traditional, decorative technique of applying a pattern, design, or text to a surface, using a stencil template. The template consists of a thin sheet of cardboard, metal, or other material from which shapes or letters have been cut out. A coloring substance, such as paint, ink, or pigment is then applied over the sheet onto the surface.
Our expertise is informed by a technical and artistic understanding of pattern and letter spacing and scaling to fit proportionally within a range and configuration. Complex stencil patterns can be created by layering multiple patterns and colors, and the same technique can be used to create patterns or lettering in metallic leaf.
